Sanna Karlström (b. 1975) lives in Helsinki and has worked as a full-time writer for 20 years. She has published seven poetry collections, a novel, and a children’s book. Her debut work, Taivaan mittakaava (The Scale of the Sky), won the Helsingin Sanomat Literature Prize in 2004. Her poetry collection Harry Harlow’s Love Lives received both the Dancing Bear Poetry Prize and the Kalevi Jäntti Prize in 2009. Her most recent work, the poetry collection Maanpäällinen osa (The Earthly Part), was published in March 2025.
