Kaija Rantakari

Kaija Rantakari is a Helsinki-based poet and master bookbinder whose fifth poetry collection, Hovi, was published by WSOY in April 2026. Rantakari’s poetry is consistently inclined toward intimacy. Her debut collection Mikado (2015) was shortlisted for the Helsingin Sanomat Literature Prize. Koko meren laajuus (2018) received the Kalevi Jäntti Prize and the Toisinkoinen Prize. Salit (2021) was nominated for the Runeberg Prize. Her fourth collection, Kertosäe, was published in 2023.
