Anna Tapola (b. 1973) is a researcher and writer based in Helsinki, for whom poetry is like breathing — a surrender to language, an exploration, a source of wonder and play. Rhythm carries her also in dance and music. Tapola holds a doctorate in education and has also studied philosophy and aesthetics at the University of Helsinki.
