Daniel Bencomo (b. 1980) is a Mexican poet and translator. He has born in San Luis Potosíssa and is based in Speyer in Germany. Bencomo has published eight poetry books, most recently La mutación de Lo en Lo (2018) and Espuma de Bulldog (2016). He has also translated books to Spanish by many German writers, including Hans Arp, Hugo Ball, Frieferike Mayröcker, Tom Schulz and Steffen Popp. His latest translations are poetry books published in Mexico: El poema cruza un cuerpo y no saluda by Björn Khligk and Últimas noticias de la zona aleatoria by Ron Winkler. Bencomo works in Johannes Gutenberg-Universität in Mainz, where he is working on his doctoral dissertation on translation studies.
