Ivars Šteinbergs (1991) is a poet and literary critic. He has studied literature as a Fulbright Scholar at SUNY at Binghamton. Šteinbergs currently studies in a doctorate program at the Latvian Academy of Culture and works at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art at the University of Latvia. Strops (‘Beehive’), Šteinbergs’s first collection of poetry, is to come out later this year.
He thinks artist profiles should be as formal and alienating as possible but can sometimes allow for exceptions.
