Juhani Ihanus, PhD, is a distinguished psychologist and docent at the University of Helsinki, Aalto University, and the University of Oulu. He has held various teaching and research positions at the University of Helsinki since 1982, particularly in the Open University. His teaching covers a wide range of psychological fields, including clinical, developmental, and personality psychology, as well as the psychology of art and literature.
He has authored over 520 publications, including scientific and literary works, and is also an active translator. Ihanus is a pioneer of bibliotherapy in Finland and has served on the editorial boards of several academic journals. He has received international recognition for his contributions to psychohistory and psychotherapy.
