Jyrki Kiiskinen is a Helsinki-based writer who has published poetry collections, novels, and children’s books. He is also an avid translator of poetry. In the early 1990s, Kiiskinen edited Nuori Voima magazine, and today he co-directs the Creative Writing School at the Critical Academy together with writer Eino Santanen. Kiiskinen has received, among other honors, the Dancing Bear Prize, the Kalevi Jäntti Prize, and the Finland Prize. He served as an artist professor from 2018 to 2023.
