Kristiina Drews translates books from English and Swedish to Finnish. During her 40-year-long career she has translated books from entertainment to artistic prose. Along with British and American writers there have been e.g. Indian and African writers. Her favorites from her career: Flann O’Brien, Margaret Atwood, Julian Barnes, Ali Smith, Lucia Berlin. Maybe the most challenging work has been Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov.
Her latest translate work is the poetry collection Odysseuksen soutaja (Elpënor) by Willy Kyrklund.
