Laura Lindstedt (b. 1976) has been described as a brave reformer of the art of storytelling. Her fist novel Sakset was published in 2007 and was nominated for the Finlandia prize. Her second novel Oneiron – fantasia kuolemanjälkeisistä sekunneista (2015) was awarded the Finlandia prize and was nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize. The rights for translation of Ystäväni Natalia (2019) have been sold to 12 countries.
Lindstedt’s works are philosophical, intellectual and generously gratifying for the reader. Laura Lindstedt is one of the most international Finnish writers at the moment. She is originally from Kainuu.
