Maiju Pohjola (b. 1990) is a poet from Hamina, who also works as a Finnish teacher. The appraising reception of her debut book Lautuma (2020) brought her a culture award granted by the welfare committee of her hometown. Pohjola’s second poetry collection Ettei yötä enää deals with labour and postpartum exhaustion and depression, and the themes of violence intertwined into them. Pohjola performs at the OFF-event.
