Veera & Senni is a poetic folk duo formed by kantele artist-singer Senni Heiskanen and poet Veera Milja, which combines soundscapes created with kantele and harmonium, yearning songs and heart-melting stage poetry. Their evocative and emotional works take their final form in the intimate performance moment and are never repeated the same. Veera & Senni have performed together since the summer of 2023, including at the Joroinen Music Festival, the Oodi Book Festival, the Folkkia ja villaa festival and Provinssi. The duo released their debut album “Säihkeessä sinua” in spring 2026.
Senni Heiskanen (born 1997) is a kantele artist-singer, passionate composer and arranger, born in Heinävesi and currently living in Helsinki. Nordic folk music and improvisation are particularly close to his heart.
Veera Milja (born 1988) is a Helsinki-born, Turku-based performing poet and gardener. Her debut work Supersalanen tyttöpäiväkirja (Tammi) was published in 2022 and was awarded the Kalevi Jäntti Prize.
