Vilja-Tuulia Huotarinen

Vilja-Tuulia Huotarinen (b. 1977) is originally from the village of Säijä. At the moment she lives in Helsinki. She is a free writer, who also writes columns and articles concerning the literary world, and instructs writing groups. In addition to poetry, Huotarinen has published novels for youngsters. Her books have been translated into Czech, Swedish and Danish. Her poems have also been published in numerous anthologies in, for example, Polish, Icelandic, and Hungarian. Huotarinen has been awarded the Finlandia-Junior prize, Kalevi Jäntti prize, and the Anni Swan -medal.
