Future poetry proposes poetry as a method for imagining and exploring the future. Poetry nurtures the ability to think the impossible, to experience what has not yet come to pass, and to give voice to the unspeakable.
In this writing workshop—organized within the framework of cultural activism by the KSL Civic Education Centre—participants will explore the future and the possibilities of a better world through poetry. The workshop includes hands-on writing exercises inspired by the principles of future poetry.
The sessions are led by poets Mikko Räty and Petra Vallila, along with Riina Näsi, cultural producer at KSL.
Pre-registration for the free workshops is now open. Each workshop can accommodate up to 15 participants.
The workshops will take place in the classroom on the fourth floor of Tekstin talo on Thursday, August 21st, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 5:00–7:00 PM.
