Manuaali is a kinetic audiobook on the world beyond techno-optimism. The work combines literary narration, graphic notation, and algorithmic processing into an experimental performance form that deconstructs the underlying biases of commercial audiobook format.
This research performance, based on the interaction of one performer and sound technology, examines the unpredictable materiality of the recorded human voice from the perspectives of translatability and meaning formation.
