Kristiina Wallin

Kristiina Wallin (b. 1971) is a poet who has also written prose and radio drama. In her works, Wallin deals with themes such as encounter and non-encounter, time, the relationship between language and perception, memory, and ecological topics. She endeavors to trace the intersections of the conscious and unconscious, as well as the abstract and concrete in her texts. Wallin’s works have been nominated for the Runeberg Prize, the Dancing Bear Prize, and the Einari Vuorela Prize. She has received the Tampere City Literature Prize twice. Wallin is fascinated by language and the worlds that emerge from the layers of language. In early 2024, her seventh poetry collection Ilmaan uurtuva (Tammi) was published.
