Veera Antsalo (b. 1975) has written four poetry collections and one novel. Her debut collection Sähkökatkoksen aikaan (2012) was a candidate for the Helsingin Sanomat Literature Prize and the Dancing Bear Prize, and her second poetry book Pölyn historia (2015) was nominated for the Toisinkoinen Literature Prize. The critically acclaimed Imago was published in 2018 and was nominated for the prestigious Runeberg Prize. Antsalo’s debut novel Fernanda was published in 2021, and her latest work of poetry Nimettömästä was published in 2024. Antsalo has previously collaborated with a team of performing arts specialists in a project entitled Polyphony that was based on her book Pölyn historia.
