Susanna Hast is a writer, researcher, and songwriter. In her work, Hast delves into the experience of war, compassion, and corporeality. In literature, she is interested in the writing of living memory and themes of absence. Her debut novel, Ruumis/huoneet (S&S 2022), won the Helsingin Sanomat Literature Prize in 2022.
Irene Kajo is a performance artist, theater pedagogue, and writer. She is interested in issues of power and ethics, the grotesque, carnivalesque, and the body. Yhdellä meistä on kokemus epäasiallisesta kohtelusta (WSOY 2024) is her debut work.
Mikko Räty is a poet, spoken word artist, and playwright. Räty’s debut poetry collection, Borealia (Tammi 2022), was nominated for the Helsingin Sanomat Literature Prize and the Nihil Interit Poetry Prize. In his poetry, Räty explores relationships with nature, species extinction, and power dynamics; for him, literature and poetry performances are primarily a form of play and experimentation.
Petra Vallila is a poet, writer, and communicator interested in everything, especially self-evident conventions, and all the alternatives. Vallila’s debut work, ehkä (Poesia 2022), which repositions corporate language into new poetic constellations, was nominated for the Helsingin Sanomat Literature Prize.
