Sanna J. Hirvonen is a dance and performance artist and writer from North Karelia. Her work at the intersection of writing, the body, and the human voice emerges from the sensitivity of encounters and from the poetics and political potentials of the entanglement of place, body, and language. Performances she has created have been presented both in traditional theatre spaces and in settings such as care homes and village halls, and her writing has been published in Tuli & Savu and various online publications. In addition, Sanna continues her improvisational dance practice as a performer in the works of others. She is currently completing her studies in the MA in Art Praxis programme at the Dutch Art Institute and lives in Rotterdam.
