Carlos F. Grigsby (Managua, Nicaragua, 1988) won the Loewe Foundation Prize for Young Writers at the age of 18, for his book Una oscuridad brillando en la claridad que la claridad no logra comprender (Visor, 2008). In 2020, he won the Ernesto Cardenal in Memoriam Award for poems that were later included in his second book, Rilke y los Perros (Visor, 2022). His poetry appears in anthologies such as La poesía del siglo XX en Nicaragua (2010) and Puertas abiertas. Antología de poesía centroamericana (2011).
